Day 1 Arrival in Tbilisi 

Flight to Tbilisi, meeting in airport and transfer to hotel, rest.

Day 2 – walking tour in Tbilisi 

Discover Tbilisi -  more than 1500 years old city, where east and west met. Feel the historical ethnic and religious tolerance of Tbilisi - a synagogue and mosque, Orthodox, Catholic and Armenian churches next to each other. 

Visit the Museum of History and Ethnography of Georgian Jews and Georgian Jewish relations, (the museum contains not only religious objects, but also everyday life, clothes, paintings of Georgian Jews) 

 Welcome diner in Georgian Restaurant with Georgian folk concert

Day 3 – travel to Kakheti – wine cellar of Georgia 

 After breakfast we will go to Kvareli - the famous Kindzmarauli Micro Zone. On the way we will enter the city of love - Signagi. A magical city that is more like a fairy tale scenery with amazing view to the Alazani Valley and the snowy Caucasus peaks, 

Main sights :

  • Love City Sighnaghi (city fortress of XVII  c.)  and the Great Sighnaghi defense wall ( 5 km with 23 tower ) 
  • Bodbe Monastery - St. Nino Church, grave and holy spring 
  • Kvareli, Kvareli castle, Kvareli tunnel - wine cellar located in the natural tunnel. you can learn history and technology of wine making in Georgia, taste amazing Qvevri wines.

Day 4– Rout to the Stepantsminda – Georgian Military way 

After breakfast by the Georgian military way and picturesque  cross pass we get to Stepantsminda 

On the way we visit:

  • Gremi  Complex - church, the royal residence and the commercial neighborhood, Telavi – former capital of Kakhetian kingdom, Batonistikhe castle (XVII – XVIII cc) and more than 900 years old Giant Plane Tree, Ananuri castle ( XVI-XVII cc). 
  • Follow to the Georgian Military Highway - ski resort Gudauri; Mineral Waters and travertine, Cross Pass at 2395m is the highest point on the Military Highway
  • Gergeti Trinity Church - is situated at an elevation of 2170 meters, under Mount Kazbegi

Day 5  -  Borjomi Gorge and Akhaltsikhe 

 From Stepantsminda we are going to southern Georgia – Samtskhe Javakheti , Historically one of the most important cultural centers of Georgia - Samtskhe-Javakheti is a region that never stops surprising visitors, from the mineral springs of Borjomi to the ancient cave city of Vardzia.

Main Sights: Green monastery (IX c), Borjomi -  resort town  is famous because of  Borjomi mineral water  and Borjomi Park;  Romanov summer palace in Likani, World Wide Fund for Nature-site Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park.

Day 6 – Cave towns of Samtskhe Javakheti 

Vardzia, Georgia’s unique cave city continues to amaze people from all over the world.  It can freely be called the Honor of Georgians

 Main Sights 

  • Vardzia (XII c) - a rock-carved fortress stretched over 500 meters. Underground fortress eventually had 13 levels constructed with natural caves and over 600 rooms,  
  • Khertvisi (IIc BC) - oldest fortresses in Georgia. And Sapara Monastery – (X c) – amazing place hidden in the mountains and in the forest
  • Rabati castle (XIII c) - 18th century Akhaltsikhe Fortress is often called the symbol of tolerance - A church, mosque, minaret, synagogue, as well as Jaqelebi Palace, a historic museum, old baths and a citadel, have been restored on the territory of Rabat Castle.

Day 7 Trip to West Georgia -  Kutaisi

 Kutaisi - biggest city of West Georgia was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Colchis as early as the second millennium BC. 

  • City tour in Kutaisi , Bagrati Cathedral (XXI c) UNESCO World Heritage Site. Gelati Complex - Main cultural and intellectual centers in Georgia for a long period; UNESCO World Heritage Site;
  • Visit Jewish district of kutaisi and Kutaisi synagogues,

 Day 8   Natural caves and canyons of West Georgia 

 Day of nature, we will meet wild nature, miracle caves and amazing canyons 

 Main Sights 

  • The cave of Prometheus -  is one of the richest caves in the world with its unique minerals and different types of materials and places. And Martvili Canyon -  enjoy the scenery, waterfalls and take a boat trip in the river with deep green color.
  • Visit amazing place Salkhino – summer residence of Mingrelian Royals – Dadiani

Day 9 Trip to Svaneti, Mestia

 Svaneti, one of the most ancient and historical provinces of Georgia, is located on the southern slopes of the Caucasus mountain range. Surrounded by the gigantic, snow-capped peaks of the high Caucasus, Svaneti is one of the most remarkable and picturesque regions of Georgia, if not the whole world.

 Main Sights 

  • Zugdidi city –Dadiani Palace museum; Old Botanical Garden (Queen's Garden), Inguri Dam - the world's second highest concrete arch dam (272 m/892 ft).
  • Mestia  - highland town let  in Georgia, (1,500 m); Typical Svanetian protective towers

 Day 10  - Trip to Ushguli

 Ushguli - the highest village in Europe (2200 m); Ushguli Chapel (12th century), contains some very old frescoes;  magnificent, broad valley leads to the foot of Shkhara.  Village of Chajashi and amazing Svanetian castles (UNESCO World Heritage site)

Day 11 –Batumi - a Pearl of the Black Sea

 Batumi was declared the best tourist destination by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences in 2012. In recent Forbes rankings, Batumi was given a place amongst top five ‘velvet season’ recreational resorts. City tour in Batumi, on place of numerous architectural innovations from artnouve to new Modern 

Visit Petra fortress  - ancient city-fortress (VI c. AD); walk around Batumi old and new boulevards - famous Seaside Park;  famous Batumi Dolphinarium

Day  12  -Adjara Mountains, wild nature 

Adjara is a fascinating and unique area, where the sea collides with mountain range. One of the must-see regions in Georgia, Adjara has fairly built up a superb reputation as one of the best resort areas,

 Main Sights 

  • Gonio fortress  is a Roman fortification in Adjara.
  • Makhuntseti waterfall and arch bridge 

Overnight in Batumi

 

Day 13– back to Tbilisi 

Even if it seems that we saw everything from Tbilisi to Batumi, the road will not be boring, because we left some very interesting places to show you:

Uplistsikhe  - ancient cave town, dating back to the 1 millennium BC .  and  Mtskheta – Ancient capital of Georgia, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral  (XI c) - the largest church of Georgia and Jvari Monastery (VII- VIII c)  - UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Day 14– Tbilisi  - From the medieval city to the bourgeois 

 You will meet with the bourgeois city of the 19th century. 

Visit Famous Dry Bridge  and flea market

Day 15– Tbilisi  departure

 Transfer to Tbilisi international airport for departure.
