Day 3 Mtskheta ancient capital and heart of Georgia
Mtskheta is Georgia’s most sacred pilgrimage city ( UNESCO World Heritage Site.)
Main sights:
- Jvari monastery (VI c) which is Georgian for “cross”. Jvari is said to be the site where St. Nino planted the sacred cross to symbolize Georgia’s acceptance of Christianity in the 4th century
- Spring of St. Nino
- Monastic complex Shio-Mgvime (Vic), was founded by an Assyrian hermit monk named Shio.
- Samtavro monastery – (the ruler Mirian and his wife Nana, the first to accept Christianity from St. Nino, are buried). In the churchyard lies the grave of St. Gabriel, one of Georgia’s most esteemed saints.
- Antioquia Monastery
- Svetitskhoveli - (which means “the Life-Giving Pillar) one of the principle cathedrals of Georgian Orthodox. According to Georgian hagiography, Christ's robe is preserved in the Cathedral ( Evening Service in Svetitskhoveli*)

- David Gareji a rock-hewn monastery complex founded in the VI century by David (St. David Garejeli), one of the thirteen Assyrian fathers.

Day 5 – oldest Monasteries of Kakheti
- Alaverdi - one of the most important medieval monuments in all of Georgia. Assyrian father Joseph of Alaverdi founded the monastery in the 6th century. (Liturgies in Alaverdi) *In the monastery you can visit the monastery cellar and try the monastic wine
- The monastic complex of Nekresi (IV-VII and XV centuries), the founder of the monastic complex is one of the Assyrian fathers, St. the martyr Aviv Nekres

Day 6 - Georgian Military Highway and Stepantsminda
Follow of cross pass of Georgian Military Highway, we get to Stepantsminda

Aanuri fortress (XVI-XVII cc)
- Follow to the Georgian Military Highway - ski resort Gudauri; Mineral Waters and travertine
- Cross Pass at 2395m is the highest point on the Military Highway
- Stepantsminda - great place in Mtkheta-Mtianeti, unique nature and buildings. Mount Kazbegi - highest peak of Eastern Georgia.
- Gergeti Trinity Church (XV c) - is situated at an elevation of 2170 meters, under Mount Kazbegi

Day 7 - Borjomi Gorge and Akhaltsikhe
From Stepantsminda we are going to southern Georgia – Samtskhe Javakheti - Historically one of the most important cultural centers of Georgia.
Main Sights
- Green monastery (IX c) The Chitakhevi St. George's Monastery In the 16th century, this monastery was raided. During this time dozens of monks were killed, The blood which remained on the stones thrown into the river Chitakhevi, belong to the monks. Bloody stones are spread along almost the entire length of the river running through the territory of the monastery.
- Borjomi - resort town is famous because of Borjomi mineral water and Borjomi Park;

Day 8 – Cave towns of Samtskhe Javakheti
Vardzia, Georgia’s unique cave city continues to amaze people from all over the world. It can freely be called the Honor of Georgians

- Sapara Monastery – (X c) – amazing place hidden in the mountains and in the forest (Liturgies in Sapara )*
- Vardzia (XII c) - a rock-carved fortress stretched over 500 meters. Underground fortress eventually had 13 levels constructed with natural caves and contained over 600 rooms,
- Rabati castle (XIII c) - 18th century Akhaltsikhe Fortress is often called the symbol of tolerance - A church, mosque, minaret, synagogue, as well as Jaqelebi Palace, a historic museum, old baths and a citadel, have been restored on the territory of Rabat Castle.

Day 9 Trip to West Georgia - Kutaisi
Kutaisi - biggest city of West Georgia was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Colchis as early as the second millennium BC.
